Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking.
All group tours are 100% women-only throughout — guests and guide. Private/custom tours: Men may join if the booking is made by a woman in the group and the whole group is happy with it. The guide is still a woman. If you're booking a group tour, every participant will be a woman.
Maximum 8 women per group. Typical size is 4–6. Why it matters: • Pace is set by the group, not the fastest person • Bathroom stops happen when needed • Time for photos, browsing markets, lingering at a winery is built in • One vehicle — no splitting up or waiting for a second bus We don't merge groups to fill seats. If a departure has 3 bookings, it runs as a group of 3.
Yes. Most participants on our group tours are solo travelers. What that means in practice: • No awkward couples-heavy dynamic • You won't be the only solo person at the table • Solo travelers are never paired with strangers in rooms — private room is included Many solo travelers book group tours specifically to meet other women. It works.
It depends on the tour — not all tours are equal. • Cultural & wine tours: Any fitness level. These involve walking (cobblestones, some stairs) but nothing strenuous. • Kazbegi day hike: Moderate. About 1.5 hours uphill to Gergeti Church. If you exercise occasionally, you'll be fine. • Svaneti multi-day trek: Good fitness required. Several hours of hiking per day over multiple days. Each tour listing shows the difficulty level. We adjust pace to the group — no one gets left behind. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll be honest.
Always included: • Transport (pickup and drop-off) • English-speaking women guide for the full tour • All activities listed in the itinerary (entrance fees, tastings, etc.) Usually not included: • Flights • Most meals (unless the tour description says otherwise) • Personal spending (souvenirs, extra drinks, tips) Multi-day tours list inclusions explicitly — accommodation is included in all overnight tours. Check the specific tour page for the full breakdown.
At least 2 weeks ahead for most tours. For peak season (May and September–October): 4–6 weeks is safer. Group tours fill up and we don't add extra seats. Private tours are sometimes possible with less notice — contact us and we'll check availability. If you're flexible on dates, last-minute spots occasionally open up when someone cancels.

We'll send 2-3 itinerary options within 24 hours 4. We refine based on your feedback 5. Once you approve, we send a booking confirmation + payment details 6. Pay deposit (30% for multi-day, full for day tours) 7. We send final itinerary, packing tips, and guide contact info 1 week before
By you: • 14+ days before: Full refund minus 10% admin fee • 7-13 days before: 50% refund • Less than 7 days: No refund (non-refundable) • Deposits are always non-refundable By us: • Weather/safety cancellation: 100% refund or reschedule • We've never cancelled a tour due to low bookings Rescheduling: Free if done 14+ days in advance (subject to availability) We strongly recommend travel insurance — it covers medical, cancellations, and flight delays.
For day tours: • Morning pickup at your hotel (usually 8–9am) • 1–3 sites or activities • Lunch stop — included or free choice depending on the tour • Afternoon activity • Drop-off back at your hotel (usually 6–8pm) Pace is relaxed. Time for photos, browsing, and lingering is built into the schedule — we don't rush from site to site. Multi-day tours follow a similar rhythm but with more flexibility since you're together for several days.
We select for: Cleanliness, safety, Georgian character, good Wi-Fi. Standard level: • Boutique guesthouses with personality • Family-run hotels (owners cook breakfast, give local tips) • Private rooms with en-suite bathroom • Clean, comfortable, A/C or heating • Example: 3-star equivalent, locally-owned Upgrade available: • Design hotels in Tbilisi (Rooms, Stamba, etc.) • Wine hotels in Kakheti • Mountain lodges with views • Add 30-50% to tour cost Homestays (some rural tours): • Stay with Georgian family • Private guest room • Shared/family bathroom sometimes • Home-cooked meals, incredibly hospitable • Authentic but basic Solo travelers: Private room guaranteed (no single supplement on standard tours).
Yes — tell us when booking so we can plan ahead. Vegetarian: Easy. Khachapuri (cheese bread), lobio (bean stew), pkhali (walnut veggie spreads), badrijani (eggplant rolls), mushrooms, salads. Vegan: Doable in Tbilisi. Harder in rural areas but possible — beans, grilled vegetables, bread, salads. We'll pre-arrange with restaurants. Gluten-free: Challenging. Georgian food is bread-heavy. Grilled meats, salads, some stews work. Bring snacks. Very limited GF awareness outside Tbilisi. Halal: Limited halal restaurants. Vegetarian/fish options work. We can arrange. Allergies: Communicate clearly — we use English-speaking restaurant staff and can help you navigate.
Essentials: • Comfortable walking shoes (Tbilisi is all cobblestones) • Hiking boots (if doing mountain tours) • Scarf or shawl for church visits (women cover heads at some sites) • Modest clothes: Cover shoulders & knees for churches/monasteries • Layers (mountain weather changes fast, 10-15°C difference from valley) • Sunscreen (mountain sun is strong) • Reusable water bottle (tap water is safe) • Small backpack for day trips Summer (Jun-Aug): Sun hat, sunglasses, light long pants/skirt for churches Winter (Dec-Mar): Warm jacket, thermal layers, waterproof boots, hat, gloves Don't bring: Hair dryer (hotels have them), too much — you'll want luggage space for wine!
Yes — nearly every booking is customized to some degree. We adjust: • Pace: Leisurely vs. packed schedule • Focus: More wine/food/hiking/culture/relaxation • Accommodation: Budget to luxury • Transportation: Shared van, private car, mix of both • Meals: All included vs. free time to explore • Activities: Swap cooking class for winery, replace church visit with hike, etc. Process: 1. You tell us interests, pace, budget, any must-sees 2. We send 2-3 itinerary options 3. We refine based on your feedback 4. Final itinerary is exactly what you want Only limit: Physics (can't do Tbilisi to Svaneti in one day).
Yes. We handle this regularly. We can split the group for parts of the day — for example, half the group does a winery tasting while others do a hike — and reunite for meals or the next stop. This is common for friend groups where fitness levels differ or where some want wine-focused experiences and others want more outdoor activity. Tell us your group's range of interests when you enquire and we'll build it in.
Yes. Tell us when you get in touch. We can: • Extend a standard tour by adding extra days • Combine two tours into one itinerary • Build a fully custom multi-week journey There's no fixed catalogue — if you want 12 days covering Tbilisi, Kakheti, Kazbegi, and Svaneti, we build that. Just tell us your dates and what you want to see.
Group tours: • Fixed departure dates • Up to 8 women (you'll travel with other participants) • Lower price per person • Great for solo travelers who want to meet people • Itinerary is set Private tours: • Your dates, your group only (1–6 women) • Fully flexible itinerary • Available year-round • Higher per-person cost, but fully tailored • Option to include men if the booking is made by a woman Both include a dedicated women guide for the entire tour.
